Classy Adventures

Charms

Ah, hello, everyone! So good to be back! I must say, apologies for the little week of absence but I'm now back, ready to deliver the newest edition of Classy Adventures! Ready?

Now if you're new to this blog, why don't we review a little! I am Ilan Kim bringing you another edition of Classy Adventures! If you haven't already guessed due to the title, this blog is about... the different classes taught at the castle! There will be information on these classes, some cool aesthetics, and even a little section where you get to help fill in the blanks! Anyway, let's look into our class for today which is... Charms!

What was Charms like many years ago? Did people still learn Wingardium Leviosa and learn basica and more advanced charms? Well well!

Much like it is not, Charms was a core class back in the days at Hogwarts (and was also taught at Ilvermorny). This class was considered essential if you wanted to perform magic or have a career in some form of magic.

In fact, Charms was considered so critical that all students were required to take Charms up until their fifth year and then it became optional. The class was mainly about being precise with the spells and reciting the incantations correctly.

Nowaways, however, Charms is an encouraged but optional class and is taught from first year until year seven. Similar things are taught and it's taught by the wonderful William Prescott.

So, doesn't Charms sound like fun? And so extremely useful! You should absolutely take a trip to the Charms office!

Ah, now, shall we enjoy some wonderful aesthetics?

Every new edition, there's going to be a little... adventure! This will consist of a character (note: these characters are NPCs and do not actually exist on site) having an adventure at the featured class of the week! But I'm going to need your help! How? It's up to you to fill in the blanks. Have you ever heard of mad libs? Well, that's what we're going to be doing. Each week, there will be adjectives, nouns, all those fun stuff for you to fill out in the comments and one person's suggestions will go into the next week's adventure!

And thank you so much to everyone who filled out the mad lib last week! And this week, thank you Sebastian Worthington for filling it out and congratulations on being featured. Ready for the adventure?

Like a charm. It was ever so frustrating to sit there and try to make a pillow unbreakable. Each charm was something that Finn didn’t understand. It was all so new and sensational. Each time he would wave his wand, it was like he got nowhere. Finn pirouette at the sculpture, willing the spell to work. “Hey, Finn!” The boy turned his head to see his mother-in-law Sky calling him over. “How’s it going?” Finn replied with a look on his face that basically said ‘rough’. “C’mon, just try to have fun! You don’t have to get it on the first try!” Sky called out. First try. Maybe it didn’t have to be completely perfect. “Thanks, Sky!” Finn said and then looked back at the pillow with new concentration…

Interesting, right? Well, well!

Would you like a chance to have what you would put in the blanks featured? Well, well, next week's adventure is a surprise but whatever you might comment could definitely change the story a little! So make sure to fill this out in the comments!
  • type of relationship (e.i. friend, mortal enemy, partner, etc)
  • noun
  • verb
  • object
  • part of the body
  • noun
  • noun
I cannot wait to see what next week's adventure turns out to be and what it's like but I guess we'll have to find out! Don't forget to fill out the blanks in the comments- OH and did I mention that everyone who fills in the blanks gets a prize? So go go!

Well, well, I hope you've had a wonderful time reading this blog- I've had a great time writing it! Make sure to stay tuned for the next post and next adventure in two weeks!

Thank you for reading and make sure to go do your Charms homework!
