The world is indeed a crazy place right now and a lot of us have been affected in more ways than one, so here is a guide for all you wonderful wizards and witches to help you survive the Lockdown.

Step 1:
Social distancing doesn’t mean you can’t be social, there are plenty of ways to still keep in contact with your friends and family.

- Talking on the phone
- Texting
- Facetime
- Start a video party
- Organise a watch party for your favourite movies and tv series

Step 2:
Listening to music is one of the best ways to distract your mind and help you to connect with your emotions and sometimes let some steam off.

- Put on some inspirational songs and let the music sink deep within you
-Put on your favourite tunes and rock out to them as you go about your day
- Can’t focus? Then put on some calming instrumental music and you will soon feel focused.
- Missing outside? Put on some nature sounds, get comfortable, close your eyes and pretend you are anywhere else but stuck at home.

Step 3:
Set goals for yourself each day.
You may not be able to go out but setting a routine for yourself can help you to feel more in control of your life at this moment, why not try a few of these?

- Sort out your wardrobe and get rid of the old clothes that are no good anymore.
- We all have a drawer of randomness so why not tidy it, you may even find some hidden gems you forgot you had.
- Take a breather outside in your garden for a moment and just listen to the sounds around you.
- Spend time on work you have to do, housework, schoolwork or sitework and don’t panic to hand it in at the last minute.

Step 4:
Try something new or find a new hobby.
Now is the perfect time to try something new that you have wanted to try. Here are a few ideas I have listed below.

- Baking
- Drawing
- Sewing
- Knitting
- Painting
- Craft projects
- Coding

Step 5:

Set aside YOU time!
Do the things that make you happy and relax you and don’t try to do a million things at once. It is important that you set aside time for you to clear your mind, relax and unwind.

- Have a long hot bath or shower
- Watch movies and tv shows
- Play video games and escape into a new world.

I hope you have found some of these steps helpful and to know that everyone is in the same boat at the moment.

These steps will help you to get started and be sure to keep an eye out for the next SoMe blog with another few steps to help you survive the Lockdown

STAY STRONG! BE POSITIVE! KEEP CALM!
