Well, today is the birthday of one such villain. Whenever you ask someone about their favourite character, you are very unlikely to hear Umbridge as an answer... But today is her birthday, no matter how evil she was!

Dolores Umbridge was born on the 26th of August, the year is unknown though. Her parents, a wizard man, and a muggle mother! Her brother was a squib. Even though her heritage is mixed blood, she hated half-bloods. She never got married.
Her favourite colour is pink. (Surprise, anyone?) and she was a Slytherin. But, not even her Head of House, Horace Slughorn, liked her. After Hogwarts she went on an internship with the Department of Improper Use of Magic, and later on she became head of this department, even before she turned 30!
After this job she became the Senior Undersecretary to the MoM, and then in 1995 she became teacher for Defence Against the Dark Arts, by ministers order. Later on she gained more power as the High Inquisitor of Hogwarts, but she was hated by most people at Hogwarts.
After the 2nd Wizarding War she was sent to Azkaban, for her heinous crimes against muggle-born wizards.
