As you all know (Well I hoped you’d all know) that it was recently Harry Potter and JK Rowlings birthdays. So to celebrate this the SoME Team have decided to gather 25 interesting facts that you might not know about JK Rowling and Harry Potter. So! Here they are!

 

1. JK Rowling and Harry Potter share the same birthday: July 31st

 

2. She wrote her initial HARRY POTTER Ideas on a napkin while on a train to London

 

3. The original HARRY POTTER manuscript was rejected by 12 publishing houses before Bloomsbury picked it up

 

4. JK Rowling was awarded an Order of the British Empire in 2001

 

5. She filled five notebook pages with made up "Q" words before she came up with "Quidditch”

 

 

6. Her real name is Joanne Rowling. She has no middle name and instead borrowed the "K" from her grandmother, Kathleen
