Wizard Cards
Trading Post

Issue #1

by Max Paige

Welcome to the first issue of Wizarding Cards Trading Post! In this issue we will talk about what this blog will cover as well as ways that you can get involved!

Hello, World of Potter UK! My name is Max Paige, and I want to welcome you to the Wizarding Card Trading Post! Now, I realize we can't actually trade wizarding cards on the site (yet), but we can still have fun with them! If you haven't already, go on over and join my new club! I'll send owls every week (Posts on my wall) with a different location of where we'll meet up. Then we'll get together throughout the week in the forum and talk about what card collection I'll decide we focus on! Then on the weekend I'll post a blog about a specific card that came up a lot in conversation, or if someone has requested their own wizarding card!

Own wizarding card, you say? That's right! We won't just be talking about Canon characters in this blog! If you want your very own wizarding card, send me an owl! Here's what you need to include in that owl:

- Your WOP Name and House

- An image of you (Doesn't have to be your profile picture)

A brief (3 or 4 lines) biography blurb

- The name of a Canon Character that you identify with, or admire, and why!

This Edition's Wizarding Cards

Max Paige

Born and raised in Hogsmeade Village, and sorted into Slytherin House, Max is the son of an Auror and the nephew of a prisoner in Azkaban. While he discovers more about his uncle's gang of dark wizards, called "Legion", Max must choose between these two paths - dark or light - or walk the fine line between them.

Harry Potter

Similarly to Max's story, Harry also constantly walked a fine line between light and dark, good or evil. He was sorted into Gryffindor House. His own godfather, Sirius Black, spent some time in Azkaban as well and Harry overcome many stigmas and biases about his own family, much like Max will. Throughout his years at Hogwarts, Harry and his friends (in a group called "Dumbledore's Army") faught in many significant battles at the castle, and they even defeated the Dark Lord himself. On top of all of this, Harry was one of the best Quidditch Seekers of all time!
