Today's topic is the... Flying Seahorse!

What does the creature look like?

The Flying Seahorse resemble a normal seahorse that some of us might know from the muggle world. Its eyes are usually black, while its body is usually found in either red or tan colours. The extraordinary about this creature is that it has see-through wings on its back.

What is its abilities?

Now, this creature actually has different abilities and uses. Firstly, if you provoke it enough by angering or scaring it, it is actually capable of using its wings to fly. It is unknown just how strong the wings are or how much it can fly, but I suppose that with enough anger it will be long enough. Besides this, the seahorse is also capable of being used in potions. As an example, this creature is used in both Dragon Dung fertilizer and the Girding Potion.

Where does it usually live?

The creature is native to Scotland, but it is unknown if it might live in other environments like the one in Scotland. It can be found in Great Lake at Hogwarts, and other lakes alike.

How well would it be to hold as a pet?

Now, this is a very interesting question. After all, aquatic creatures are not for everyone, as it requires a lot to hold them as a pet. Firstly, you would need to be able to hold the creature within some kind of water, as it can not survive without it. You also need to ensure that it can feed off its usual food underneath the water, and for students, this might be a bit harder than if you are a graduate. If you are a graduate, this can be the perfect animal for someone who is not much for animals that need constant attention just as a dog or a niffler. The seahorse is a more reserved creature, which fits perfectly for the more reserved owner. Now, this pet might also be perfect for those who are interested in potions, since it does have magical abilities within potions, but it is not a pet that would suit everyone.
