Vol. 002.

Have you ever wondered "What would this Harry Potter
character read if they lived nowadays? It is an interesting
question which I will try and answer in this blog! Each
blog will focus on one character from Harry Potter, and I will
give 3-5 different books that I could imagine them reading if they
lived today. Hopefully, this will also be able to give you some interesting recommendations for new and old books you need to check out!

Hermione is a wonderful character, who I am sure many could see themselves in as they grew up. She is pretty much extremely intelligent and in many ways also a rather relatable character. The thing about Hermione's taste in books is that it could be so many different things, and it would make sense. So, here is some examples of what I could totally see Hermione read, while not being busy trying to save the world.

This book written by Elizabeth Lim is a wonderful tale about the Princess Shiori. After having lost control of her powers in the first book of the series, she is now setting out on an adventure to return the dragon's pearl to its true owner, but that is much easier said than done. The book includes plenty of different themes - from taking a journey to the dragon kingdom, learning to control your own powers, exploring and navigating through different political issues while still trying to keep herself alive against all of those who wish to see her downfall just because of who she am and was born for. The Dragon's Promise is the second in the series Six Crimson Cranes that follows the Princess Shiori and her fight. The book is both considered Young Adult, Fantasy, and Romance and even have different mythological elements.

This book written by Lancali is a beautiful tale. It tells the story of a friendship group, which have gone through what most have not gone through, yet, they still stick together, no matter how hard times become. It has always just been them - at least until a mysterious girl suddenly joins their group, making the main character believe that maybe, maybe it is alright to hope - and love. Words can not describe this book, as it is one that should be read and experienced instead. Do make sure to check out the different trigger warnings and official summaries before reading. I Fell In Love With Hope is a beautiful story about friendships, but also allowing yourself to not only have hope but also to love. It is a stand-alone book, written by a newly published author too.

This book written by Anna Meriona follows the interesting life of Yasmín as she wishes to take the marching band by storm, hoping to impress her crush. But, after discovering an Instagram harassing the marching band and her fellow members, she reports it, which leads to even more drama as a large part of the marching band suddenly is suspended. Now, the marching band is not able to function, seeing as nobody is there to play the brass. To fix the mess that she has made, she and a bunch of freshman boys start preparing for the end-of-semester band competition, and, hey, she even finds someone who might be a much more perfect match than her former crush. But, everything does not end there, as the Instagram page quickly is back... It Sounds Like This is a contemporary Young Adult romance novel, that does not only focus on the romantic elements, but also on many different humoristic elements. It is definitely worth a read if you like romance, and getting a little smile on your face.

This book was written by Cristina Fernandez and tells the story about Astrid, who have everything planned. Her biggest dream is to get into medical school, and she knows exactly how to do that. She knows which classes she needs to take and which friends will benefit her the best - but the whole deal quickly breaks when she finds herself falling for the nerdy boy Max. The problem is just that there is something strange about him, he keeps magically disappearing and is never on time. And when a Supervillain is suddenly breaking into her bedroom, the realisation suddenly hits her: Max is a Superhero. And wow, that can really make life much harder. How To Date a Superhero is a standalone Young Adult Romance novel, focused upon Astrid and her relationship with Max.
